Autumn term 2026
- Term starts: 1 September 2026
- Half term: 19 October to 30 October 2026
- Term ends: 18 December 2026
Spring term 2027
- Term starts: 4 January 2027
- Half term: 15 February to 19 February 2027
- Term ends: 25 March 2027
Summer term 2027
- Term starts: 12 April 2027
- Half term: 31 May to 4 June 2027
- Term ends: 28 July 2027
Why is the autumn half term two weeks?
Surrey says that, for 2026-27, community and voluntary controlled schools will have a two-week autumn half term, with five days taken from the summer holiday in July 2027. The school year remains 195 days, including five INSET days. Check the Surrey page for the full explanation.
Will my child's school follow these dates?
Not necessarily. Surrey states that academies, voluntary aided and foundation schools may have different term dates. Many Farnham secondary schools are academies, so check your own school's website or newsletter before booking anything. Surrey also says schools set their own INSET days, so these are not part of the table above and may fall on any date within the year.
